We're moving!

This whole site is being moved to a shiny new server - as are all my sites, in fact. Apologies for the bumpy road ahead, but at the end of that road things will become fast and smooth.

Once the site at the new server is ready, this message will automatically disappear!

Meanwhile, you can see how the move is progressing at the status page.

Ugly page? ...
Standards!

Cascading Style Sheets
 CSS button

Why does this page look so crummy? Well, either your taste differs from mine (very likely, anyway) or you're not using a browser that supports StyleSheets.

Since this site is intended for a relatively small audience, I'm also using it as a test bed for my first exploits into using CSS. It should still be usable with a browser that doesn't support them, it just won't look as nice. And it will look better in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 than in Netscape 4.0, because MSIE's StyleSheet support is a lot better at this moment. I've made a few allowances for Netscape though.

But if you're really having problems using this site please mail let me know and don't forget to tell me what browser and platform you're using!

Who? Me?

Do you mean me? I wouldn't. Really? Are you sure? Oh well, OK. See here. Don't say I didn't warn you!

By the way, I can get really depressed when the weather is cold and/or rainy. Long hours of darkness have the same effect. And when I'm depressed I'm not very good at programming or site maintenance! You might consider sending me a little note by email to cheer me up in those circumstances. Here's what it's like now:

Amsterdam Forecast

Sun and moon Current weather conditions

Thanks! That helps! ;-)
